Vw hope to reinvent the sector with their innovative concept. Designed in conjunction with Germany’s Post Office, the new van is at the top of the pile when it comes to commercial vehicles.

The van is a zero emissions vehicle with four electric motors in the wheel hubs which gives maximum space for loading.

Special introductions include the driving stick which allows the passenger to operate the van and can also be manouvered semi automatically i.e. following the delivery person from home to home , or return to the driver completely on its own.

The doors are also electronically opening and a split rear door with a covering to protect the driver from rain.

Volkswagen Vans of this type should be available in early 2015.

Now, some concepts can be like marmite. You can love ‘em or hate ‘em. The new Suzuki Regina is a perfect example. The syling is certainly unique, and the interior is where the new concept shines. Imagine the cars that you would find in “funkytown” and you should not be too far off.

The Regina is Suzuki’s take on the future of small cars with its light weight construction and high fuel economy.

Size wise, the car comes at 3.5 metres long and 1.6 wide and weight just 1,600 lbs. The smooth and aerodynamic styling reduces the drag by 10% compared to other cars of similar size.

For the engine, Suzuki has opted for an 800cc turbo petrol with a CVT to drive the front wheels. Fuel economy is a staggering 72.3 miles per gallon and C02 is below 70g/km.

Thats is for the details, now trade in your suzuki swift for a new Regina when they become available. For more images please watch the video below.

The Pico is a 2 seater EV car that is half motorcycle, half car. At only 2,400mm long and 100 wide, the vehicle is significantly smaller than the Smart Car.It does still have room for two people, sat one behind the other.

There is a nifty access bar built into the car which has scissor configuration.

LED panneling has been added around as well as inside the vehicle and the LCD will display a range of warning and motorists.

The whole vehicle weights in at only 880 lbs and can be fully charged in two hours. Range is said to be 31 miles with a top speed of 31 mph.

I think i’ll stick with my Smart Car for now….

At the recent Tokyo Motor show, a few unique and certainly geeky concepts were introduced. Developed by Kowa, a medical and optoelectronic company, as awell as Tmsuc Co, a robot company have combined to make three elctric concept which is setting the design world alight.

The first ones, the Kobot V in Red and the Kobot B in green, seem to be the freaky offspring of the mating between a small car and a high speed motorcycle. The kobot P however comes with 4 wheels. We are wondering what the second hand cars will be like after a few thousand miles around Tokyo. Personally, I don’t see how you would even change the wheels, or pick up some nice ladies on a Saturday night. Stay tuned to find out late next year.

This is all the details we have at the minute, so sit back and look at the lovely pictures and watch the video below!
